Embark on an unforgettable journey through the legendary landscapes of the Peloponnese, where ancient myths and rich history come alive with every turn of the pedal. This guided bike tour is designed for travelers who want to experience Greece’s cultural treasures up close while immersed in its natural beauty.
We begin our adventure in Athens and make our way to the traditional mountain village of Karyes, nestled in the lush hills of Laconia. From Karyes, we set off on our bikes, cycling through the breathtaking scenery of the Parnon mountains and descending toward the coastal town of Paralio Astros. From the shores of Astros, we continue our journey along the Argolic Gulf, riding to the historic city of Nafplio. With its neoclassical architecture, fortress-crowned hills, and vibrant promenade, Nafplio captures the essence of old-world charm. Our route then leads us inland to the legendary site of Mycenae. Here, you’ll walk through the iconic Lion Gate and explore the ancient tombs that echo the stories of Agamemnon and the heroes of the Trojan War. After returning to Nafplio, we continue our exploration at the ancient sanctuary of Epidaurus, famous for its perfectly preserved theater and sacred healing center. From there, we cycle through peaceful countryside and olive groves to the relaxed seaside village of Tolo. Next, we head toward Nemea, one of Greece’s most important wine regions and steeped in mythology. In this fertile valley, you’ll learn about the myth of the Nemean Lion—slain by Heracles. The highlight of the day is a wine tasting experience at a local vineyard, where you’ll sample the famous Agiorgitiko varietal. As the day winds down, we travel to the coastal town of Loutraki for an overnight stay. Known for its thermal springs and seaside views, Loutraki is the perfect place to relax and reflect on the journey so far. On the final day, we enjoy a scenic van ride to the Corinth Canal, on our way back to Athens
This experience blends mythology, history, culture, and natural beauty—an ideal way to connect with Greece’s past and present, one pedal stroke at a time.
