Simply amazing. If you have a few hours to spare, definitely go for it. It was a very fun tour around this beautiful city. I felt safe on the bike all the time, something I couldn’t even imagine was possible in the busy Athens. The route was mostly flat and undemanding, which gave me a chance to relax and enjoy the sights around. And the tour leader knew all the best spots for taking great pictures!
I was concerned before the trip about cycling in Athenian traffic, being a nervous cyclist but I needn’t have worried. The tour was exclusively on bike paths and through parks etc and was completely safe. Our tour leader, Kostas, made the trip interesting and fun . Didn’t feel too hot despite it being 33 degrees. We stopped for some delicious ice cream half way round. Lots of good recommendations for other things to do / lunch etc. Highly recommended. Thanks Athens by bike!
It was my second time to do this bike tour in Athens and I can say it didn’t feel like a repetition since each tour leader seems to have his own style and focus. Dimitris is a very good humoured, easy going, entertaining and relaxed guy, full of energy, love for his city and all kinds of suggestions on whatever you want to do in Athens. He made us laugh a lot and we had a great time together, getting to know the city from a different perspective.
