What to Expect

We meet in the centre of the city and start our journey from the biggest pedestrian street of Athens, located a breath away from the Acropolis of Athens, where you will have a short introduction of the tour’s schedule. Our Athens sunset bike tour is about to begin!

Equipped with a comfortable city bike (or an e-bike!) and a helmet, we will begin the exploration of the city by visiting the Presidential Mansion to get a glimpse of the ceremonial change of the Presidential Guards. Then, it’s time to discover the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place, and to Zappeion hall, a magnificent building with an amazing Neoclassical architecture.

During this unique Athens sunset bike tour, we’ll stop in front of the impressive Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch, one of the best photo spots in Athens. You’ll cycle through the city’s largest pedestrian area, feeling as if you’ve traveled back in time, while enjoying a spectacular view of the Acropolis Hill. Then comes our “secret” spot for a breathtaking panoramic view of the Parthenon, definitely a highlight of your visit.

    I LOVED THIS TOUR! First of all, Sapfo our tour leader was just amazing! I really felt like I made a new friend in Athens. She is pure, kind, and just one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met who is also an awesome tour leader. I enjoyed the tour so much and Sapfo took us to hidden spots around Athens that I would have never known without her. Not only that, she sent me tons of information with places to visit and eat and the sweetest email after we said goodbye. I took her advice and went to some places that I didn’t know existed or I was able to go by public transit and I had such a good time. The company is awesome and everyone working there was so nice and kind! I really wish I could have also signed up for their coastal ride program the next day but I slept in and missed it 🙁 but I have a strong feeling I will travel back to this wonderful country and when I do, I definitely will reach out to them 🙂 Thank you!

  • Fabulous tour!

    The tour of Athens by Bike is amazing! We loved it so much we ended up switching around our schedule to fit in another experience (the coastal tour). The company has multiple tour leaders; both times we got Dimitris. He was amazing! He was very nice and personable. It was like hanging out with an old friend. The tour itself was also amazing. Beware that your legs and flutes may hurt from the ride if, but it is honestly worth it. We got an in-depth look of Athens in a reasonable time with an awesome tour leader. Every person we met and/or spoke to with the company was very helpful as well as nice. If you have the chance to partake in Athens by Bike, I highly suggest it!

  • Such a fun way to see the city!

    If you are looking for a fun way to get an overview of what Athens has to offer you should do this tour. We got to take great photos of the main attractions and also explore a few “off the beaten track” spots that were beautiful. It was awesome to see how the city was charging as the sun went down! Our tour leader, Kostas, was enthusiastic, engaging with everyone in the group and clearly loved his job. The bikes were in great shape! I would highly recommend this company if you want to meet some great people and see a lot in a short period of time.

  • Best outdoor activity in Athens!!

    Took the sunset bike tour on my first night in Athens, and it was such a great way to get acquainted with the city. Kostas was such a great tour leader! He took us through the city’s best locations and some spots that weren’t as touristy allowing us to get away from the crowds. There was plenty of time for photos, Kostas was very helpful in also taking pictures of the group members as well! This is a great tour to take if you want to see the best parts of Athens in a cooler climate than the daytime. The sunset timing painted the city in beautiful colors and really made the tour even better. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens, this truly is the best outdoor activity in Athens.

For e-bike option: Our e-bikes are suitable for riders 152 cm (5 ft) and taller. If you're between 152–160 cm, please let us know in advance so we can arrange a smaller bike. Participants under 152 cm can join with a regular bike

Our tours will operate under all weather conditions, rain or shine

Please arrive at the starting point 15 minutes early. The bike tour begins promptly at the scheduled time and late arrivals cannot be accommodated

Please note that there are no restroom facilities at our meeting point

This tour is suitable for all fitness levels, as long as you can ride a bike. Not recommended for those with heart conditions or other serious medical issues

Participants must be over 12 years old

This tour does not include entry to archaeological sites. The focus is on exploring the city’s layout, enjoying the ride, and capturing great photos and it does not include an in-depth historical commentary
